The Sailor

There are some obvious and clear "Take Care" Drake influences in the making of this album, but it is no blatant ripoff or sign of unoriginality because Brian knew how to add his spice to the moody platform he found himself on.

The material here ranges from okay at exceptions, to actually impressive. However, I found the album to be a little bit too monotone, which brought it down. And that's both production-wise and from Brian himself that, no hate here, but isn't as vocally capable as Drake.

The more valuable picks from this would fit in your moody Pop-Rap/R&B playlist pretty well. But as an album that defies the factor of time, not so much. Sorry, but atm I don't see myself coming back much here in 6 months.
