What is this? This song is actually the most generic trap song I've ever heard. This is the song that my 55 year old uncle thinks all rap sounds like. The chorus sucks testicles, the beat is ridiculously predictable, and I laughed when the beat switch came on. Maybe I need to listen to it more.
This song will always be really special to me, and I am so glad Frank made this song and that I listened to it. I think it enormously helped me during a dark time in my life, and is probably one of my favorite songs ever. Thx frank
actually one of the worst things ive heard in my entire life
What an underrated piece of work. This album focuses on identity, self, and the journey of life, and I find it to be so heartfelt and emotional. For context, the way I view this album is that the narrator (probably a true recollection of Josh Taylor's life, but I'm not sure) is relaying and reminiscing on his life and what life means to him up to this point, starting with his teenage years and ending with a thank you to his parents and a reflection on life.
The album begins with the ... read more
Edit: Unfortunately, I have decided to lower this to a 95 (Near Perfect). Despite my love for this album, and while I still find it to be incredible, sometimes it just doesn’t have that strange feeling of pure emotion and immersion that my other 100s have. I also found myself putting other albums I enjoy just as much lower scores (TPAB, Graduation, TES, among others). Furthermore, songs like I Wanna Be Startin Somethin and The Girl Is Mine, while phenomenal songs, simply don’t evoke ... read more
Disregarding the impact this had on meme culture, the instrumental on this track is one of my favorites on any song ever.
What a truly phenomenal song. One of my favorite songs from one of the best vocalists in music ever, and it proves that he can make heartfelt songs and not just horny songs or groovy dance bangers. I don't care that it's popular, this song is great.
I think people just hate this because it was ridiculously popular and played everywhere. Coming back to this in 2026, it's a banger.
This music is like asmr man. The soundscape is so soothing, and the singer’s (Josh Taylor) vocals are so relaxing to me lol. The lyrics are really descriptive, immersive, and fitting with the soft sound. I especially love how the songs progress, culminating in an orchestral utopia of calming, bubbly sound that glides through my eardrums. As for the (pretty obvious) religious tones, i personally think they are depicted in an interesting and not overbearing way (coming from a non religious ... read more
Shit. Until recently, I had only listened to about half of this album (through recommendations, greatest hits, and auto play) and I was excited to finish listening. What the fuck. Half of this shit fucking sucks. What happened on My Fault? As the World Turns? Guilty Conscience? The half i listened to was actually phenomenal. Disappointing to say the least. To me, about half the track list (the songs i give a negative score) are actually just bad attempts at sounding edgy. I love Em, and I ... read more
Love the references throughout, and the line “you had you some birthdays, could you prove it?” is really clever
Solid as hell. All the songs are at the very least pretty good, with some great bangers (obviously Babydoll and 3 Nights, but also She Wants My Money, which is my favorite on the record). The lyrics aren’t anything special, but the production, vocal performances, and guitar instrumentals are super enjoyable. Give this a listen, it’s only 17 minutes long.
80/100 - Great
This album took a few listens to really click with me. While there are some weaker tracks for me (Chunky, Calling All My Lovelies) it has some great highs (That’s What I Like, which is a basic take but it’s genuinely phenomenal, and Finesse) and is all around a great project with a handful of tracks I regularly come back to.
80/100 - Great
Wow. Before listening to this, Keem was just “Kendrick’s cousin” to me. But man, this album was honestly better than multiple Kendrick albums in my opinion. The first thing that stood out to me was the production. It’s… mind blowing? The production (especially on tracks such as Birds & the Bees, which is my favorite on the album) is so unique and the sampling is some of my favorite I’ve ever heard. The rapping, while not overly lyrical or complex, was ... read more
This really isn’t bad. To me, this project sounds like one big song, and to be fair, that one song is pretty good. The production sounds exactly the same, the lyrics, intonation, and flow are the same, and while none of that is bad, it makes for a boring album experience. I would give this at least a 75 if it was just Trade Places or All Of My Friends.
Edit: This really is bad. I gave this project the correct criticism when I first reviewed it, and while I still think Trade Places and ... read more
