かめりあ [Camellia] - Tera I/O

turns out flamewall did NOT carry this album

Furthermore, this was probably the most melodic Camellia album I've heard so far, and just like Chimera Dragons, only had 3 songs i didn't like. I enjoyed it less than Blackmagik Blazing, but it did scratch a lot of itches for me the longer the album went on. All of the Speedcore sections were done the way I liked them, the album once again had back to back bangers, and once again has taught me something about my music taste. Maybe I ... read more

HELLO AGAIN

Blackmagik Blazing was yet another album like Ashed Wings where none of my favorites came in until later, but the good part about that is not only did it start at song 5, but it stretched throughout the whole album from there. At least up until NIGHTMARE † CITY. The chords in that song were beautiful, I just wish the drops were different instead of the whole Speedcore formula. But at the same time, through this album, I've learned that the chords of a Speedcore song ... read more

WELCOME BACK

You know, I'm actually glad I sat on writing this review for so long, simply because I had the opportunity to relisten to this album multiple times over. And ended up liking more songs than I did initially, boosting my rating from 74 to 81. Although, similar to Ashed Wings, I only liked about half the songs on this album, unlike Ashed Wings, my favorites were scattered throughout the album instead of my favorites gently sprinkled in the beginning and then coming in at the ... read more

ITS ME AGAIN

I've recently started my journey through Camellia albums after my remarkably positive experience with Chimera Dragons, and I was recommended to start Ashed Wings. Thankfully, I was able to digest it all in a single night, since it's only an hour long album. Was it good? Yeah. Did it meet my expectations? Not really. I liked the album, just not a big fan of the genres that half the album covered. To be honest, after Sswwiinnddlleerr! I was starting to lose hope since I ... read more

Maybe not my first song, but my very first Camellia album. This album is ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Having this be my first major exposure to Camellia was fantastic because now I ACTUALLY want to listen to more of his songs. I'm gonna do something I don't usually do for any of my reviews, and provide a backstory for how I ended up listening to this album in the first place. I was told to listen to U.U.F.O. first from a friend of mine, but I listened to one song and then dropped it. Some ... read more

this is like that one time i was in the middle of things

Drecent’s fourth album, medias res, is a fantastic one, and a major step up from the last three. We love improvement here. As someone who was directly involved with the production of the album, I promise to be unbiased as possible with my review. One more thing before I proceed, I feel like I’ve overlooked just how much drecent has improved over the past two years. That’s not very long for a producer, but his growth has ... read more

GRAY... SONGS? YES! LOW PRICES!

The debut LP of graysoncool1147, AKA grayson, AKA graysonpeak2047, AKA Bugatti, AKA Glitter Sparkles, AKA MrMorton12, AKA John Business, AKA Mandarin Manson. Being a friend of mine, I pretty much knew what to expect going into this. Regardless, I wasn't disappointed. I love grayson's music, and while it may not be my complete cup of tea, I enjoy and replay a lot of his music. And this was no different. I enjoyed graysongs and I'm excited for his ... read more

Fort Hence - Unalaska is Upon Us

The debut album of FORT HENCE! Truly a moment in audible history. General thoughts? It's not bad. Some of these songs remind me of zen games or stuff you play to distract yourself. Even though some of these songs drag on for too long in my opinion, I understand the vision. And while I still feel like it could've reached it's potential more with more production time, this album is still good for a debut, and I'd very much like to see where he goes in the future.

This album was okay. I'm not a huge post-rock fan, and I actually never even knew it existed until this album was introduced to me. I don't see myself coming back to it, but I did like the third song, The Reality. Especially the second half. Decent album, and I'm pretty interested in where Ambidex will go from here.

Mr. Bill - Phantasmagoria

This album was not the first piece I've heard from Mr. Bill, but it's certainly a good one. This is actually the second piece I've heard from him, and it was most definitely an incredible introduction to Mr. Bill. While the album isn't perfect, there are multiple songs that make this album fantastic for me and makes this one of my favorite albums ever.

CG5 - OCD

One of the best CG5 songs I've ever heard. Catchy music with deep and meaningful lyrics. It's obvious that CG5 puts overwhelming amounts of work into his music, and it's always important that it never goes unnoticed because he is genuinely an amazing artist who makes beautiful music.

Chime - Aetherborne

This is the perfect album to me for a lot of reasons. Primarily because of all of the positive memories I have attached to it. And also because I have little to no complaints about this album whatsoever. I'll just let the reviews for my top 3 speak for themselves.

3. Mindburn (9.9/10)
So this song actually reminds me about a song from another album I was aware of at the time. The song itself is called "Casu Martzu", but that's for another time. I love this song because it ... read more

Virtual Riot - Stealing Fire

Since I don't really listen to Virtual Riot, I can't really be biased here. And even if I did, I'd still think this is one of the best albums put out this year. I've only ever willingly listened to 5 VR songs in my entire life before this, and willingly listening to this album was one of the best choices I've ever made. This album is an amazing listen from start to finish, and I'm certain this deserves to go in my top 3 albums of the year. Part of me was happy that ... read more
