FKA twigs - EUSEXUA

what the fuck

Haute & Freddy - Anti-Superstar

this is unfathomably well mixed, and the vocal inflections are immaculate

Radiohead - The King of Limbs

Yes this album has some pretty objectively mid songs, however, the last 3 tracks on the album are some of their best work in my opinion. Separator is Weird Fishes if it were on AMSP, Give Up the Ghost is serene and transportive, and Codex is just beautiful. In addition, Lotus Flower as well as Bloom are great tracks. I could forget about tracks 2-4, but for almost any band with a lesser reputation, this album is a defining moment. It also does a great job of bridging the gap between In Rainbows ... read more

Vince Staples - Big Fish Theory

Just went back and listened to this again. Got to the end and played it 3 more times. (86 -> 89)

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross - Mid90s (Original Music from the Motion Picture)

It's four songs and they're all virtually the same, but I keep finding myself going back to this for some reason. Just like the movie, this feels more than it is. There's nothing to dissect, you just let the music sit in the background. I find that feeling comforting personally, it's a breath of fresh air.

If Phoebe, Lana, and Fiona were really low on money and had to sell their scrapped song ideas. Also Jack Antonoff's production is less interesting than watching the popcorn ceiling in a motel room slowly erode until little particles land on your face.

Mount Kimbie - Empty and Silent

Mazzy Star - Among My Swan

Clams Casino - Instrumental Relics

Having already been a huge fan of "I'm God" & "I'm The Devil", I finally got around to listening to this in its entirety last year. Having been a huge Clams fan for years mainly because of his work on the older Rocky projects, I knew what I was getting myself into for the most part. I grabbed a pair of headphones and went on a walk at 3am while listening to this for the first time and was completely blown away. Of course most of these instrumentals are already known by ... read more

If Black Boy Fly, Now or Never, and The Recipe replaced Compton and Poetic Justice (Sorry I'm tired of it) GKMC would be perfect.

I LOST MY WAY AGAAIIIN

J. Cole - The Off-Season

J Cole trap doesn't work for me. I don't really like lil baby, and he had the best verse on this album.

The Roots - Things Fall Apart

The drums on You Got Me bring me peace.

Muse - Black Holes and Revelations

This is just a mediocre attempt at turning the last 2 minutes of "Exit Music (For A Film)" into an entire album.
