the highs are higher than WLR, the lows arent as low, but man the lows on this album are just painfully mid so i cant even point and laugh at it.
carried by its features tho for sure
oh, when he said he hated drake on "euphoria", he fucking meant it.
i dont even think u can call this a diss, this an indictment.
delightfully heavy and abrasive instrumentation in service of writing that honestly kinda sucks
and ik ik the lyricism isnt the main draw of this so i should forgive it but man it just took me out of the project
and like ik they can make good stuff cause 2020's Cabin Fever was actually pretty incredible imo
kinda all over the place. at times it feels like a collection of demos, like teezo is just spitballing randomly and seeing if it sticks. i hope he hones his craft more, cause the more indie rock sounding songs on here imo were the best
THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT THATS MY FUCKIN BOY RIGHT THERE YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
trying my best not to be biased since this is from my irl bestie, but this shit was actually beautiful. great vocals, beautifully textured instrumentals, this got the work
album was actually all over the place, which made respect to Uzi for. most of it was not hitting, tho.
the BMTH and Babymetal songs went CRAZY tho
oml i get it
why did it take this long for me to listen to this is so good

GODDAMN THESE CATS ARE COOKING. GOD THEY'RE SWINGING
FUCK
FAV TRACK(S): That! Feels Good!; Pearls; Begin Again; These Lips
LEAST FAV(S): Hello Love
i can totally see how back in the day how crazy and revolutionary this debut would have been, but for me, in the here and now, it's just not hitting.
the synth pop mixed with this vile grossness is something i can appreciate, but i feel like there's something missing.
FAV TRACK(S): Something I Can Never Have; Kinda I Want To; Terrible Lie
LEAST FAV(S): Down In It; Sin; That's What I Get
rating is just for The Estate Sale tracks
wasnt super into it at first, but everything from DOGTOOTH onward is fantastic, and jesus SORRY NOT SORRY is such a damn good track
first impression:
i'll admit my first listen was in suboptimal conditions (my car on the way to work) but holy fuck this still took me for a ride
its half an hour and some change of pure chaos, and its so so good. bros set out to scare the hoes and they fucking did it
Glimpse of Us aka the best thing ever followed by 16 minutes of bleh before Joji remembers how to write good music and then 1 song later the EP is over
the front half is outrageously good. has some of my favorite stuff from The Weeknd
for the most part tho, the back half is unfortunately just sleep simulator
like this a lot better than part 1
Ice Spice makes the song feel complete. this is something she absolutely works well on, and if her future releases carry this energy and ditch whatever was on "Like..?", than she could shine
not gonna be returning to this but surprisingly decent at what it's trying to do
from what i can tell, this is an album about finding joy even thru struggling. it starts dark, but gets brighter as it goes on. there's a unique sound to this that won't, no, CAN'T, be mistaken for anyone else, and that deserves all the credit it can get. unfortunate then, that to me the production feels weak at times and feels so overbearing at times to its detriment. i can feel the groove, feel the joyous energy, feel the soul put into it, but it's not clicking with me. i'm not good at ... read more
as beautiful as it is haunting. the album takes u on a grand ride and bears everything for u to see. everything from its soaring highs to its dingy lows.
its everything i was told and more. genuinely thankful i chose to listen to this today
