This one is everything yet nothing. Initially loved it, but now, it's just aight. Nothing was lost by keeping this one off C.
Maybe I'm just weird, but holy moly, I really liked a lot of these songs. Creation especially was a banger. I'm really sad the original cut of coping was lost when C was made, since it's arguably much better than the one we have now.
Honestly, both these songs on their own are just alright. Combined, however, I think it when they're at their best. Celebrate is a 7/10 and Catharsis an 8, but combined, they... are C.
This one wasn't bad, but it failed to stand out to me. Not a bad song my any means, I just prefer several others from the rest of the album.
I still think this is the best song off C. It's one of those songs that really wraps you into it and I never felt that a segment was lacking in comparison to the others.
Genuinely awesome. This one feels very tragic in a sense and really lives up to the name "Castaway."
C. I mean, what is there really to say about this one that hasn't been said? Aside from Cuts, I think every song here is pretty solid. Chemicals and Castaway especially are the highlights for me, chefs kiss. My only real complaint is that the last half of the album wasn't as good as the first half.
Honestly, this one was a real step-up from the previous projects on --astral--'s discography. It felt consistent and is honestly such a vibe. I especially like Dark Spots, and I think First Impressions is a neat way to sort of switch up the album at the end.
This one is a doozy for sure. I'll set aside my bias for this album (since I made the cover art) and rank it fairly.
Without a doubt, I think BREATHE The polluted Air is one of, if not my favorite song --astral-- has ever made. There's something about it that just really scratches my brain, like it tells a whole story. And then there's the rest of the album.
As an experimental album, I think it works well at telling an overarching story and sticks to a tone, but musically ... read more
This one isn't extraordinary by any means, but it feels a bit more tied together than Dawn. Winter Turning is the highlight for me.
It's certainly got a vibe, but this one feels like it's holding back in some way, likely do to inexperience. Still, I think Daylight and The Ghost Dance were fun.
For a first attempt at an EP, I do think it was an interesting choice to start with one based around a gimmick. Truth be told, I'm not a big fan of these songs. 4D and 5D are the highlights for me, but they are just alright. This EP would probably be ranked higher if 1D wasn't just a single note for a full minute.
Yeah I don't think this genre is for me. Wish I could give a better review but I just didn't like it.
Regrettably, not a big fan of Credits, so that unfortunately takes this down a peg, though I did like the Bandlab instrument version. Stay Gone and Redemption Arc were definitely the highlights here, really liked those.
Overall, this one is a serious vibe. I felt immersed, especially during the first two songs, though I did feel like the later half of the EP was a bit eh. Still, me likey.
Ya know, I see a lot of people saying this music is just alright, but I'm here to say that's balderdash! This is a great album and I like it. I'm tired of Mars getting slandered for the banger it is.
