Arch Enemy for me is somehow a mixed bag. I respect their importance to the genre and I like many of the melodic riffs they play. But after all I rarley ever found an album to be relistenable except War Eternal. After the first listen (yes I think it won't be the last) I feel like this is even better than War Eternal. For me, this is very close to perfection. I like it
This is very different to her prior works. Which is absolutely nothing bad. It's not my culture, it's not my kind of music, but I was able to enjoy, because she clearly enjoyed making it and this is probably the most important thing when making music. Even though I did not really like it that much, this is very authetic.
This album makes me feel bad. But still his storytelling skills are excellent.
This album made me relisten his whole discography. This album made me talk about him to my friends. This album made me sad that I didn't buy tickets for his show 1 year ago (which was canceled anyway) This album made me say I am now a fan.
Wow...
Billy Talent aren't as good as they were in their beginning days. But still, this album is good. Very good actually. Only thing I really miss is the power, and agressivness they used to have. But even with their sixth studio album they managed to have not one bad one, which is rare nowdays.
What the hell happened to Alan Walker?
Where is his playful, electronic joy?
Don't get me wrong, this isn't bad, but this could be an output of pretty much every generic, boring, Pop-DJ of nowdays...
Why did you have to burry your style that made you stand out from all the others? Now you are just another DJ airing on radio.
Sigh...
It is getting better, somehow...
Still I am dissappointed. Now it's not that comercial bulls*** anymore but now it's generic as hell instead...
Volbeat was once a highly hyped band for me, now it's more like, oh no, a new volbeat album... sad story
Usually i still do like the albums I loved as a teenager, there are very few exceptions.
This one is like kinda one of them. I remember how much i loved this album when i was maybe 15 or so. I mean, it is still pretty nice to listen, but it's far from how good this was to me like 10 years ago.
This is actually not so bad as it might seem, due to my rating. But this album stretches like old chewing gum and maybe after halfway thorugh it really gets hard to listen to.
Wow, this is criminally underrated.
This album is so playful, spreads joy everywhere and is just so damn relaxing to listen to.
Another Trivium album, oh gosh my hype just died. They improved lately but they somehow never managed to catch me. Okay let’s start this to get through as quickly as possible. Hell whaaaat? That is catchy, I would even say this is kinda good. Okay surely a lucky punch, next one. Wtf… this is good as well, okay now I’m curious let’s move on (head starts to bang randomly) oh gosh what am I doing …
next one okay y’know what screw that, this album fucking ... read more
I was sorrowed for quite a long time, I actually forgot why ha-ha... (no I didn’t)
I am happier than ever since this is so freakin' good.
Three years ago, I saw Billie in a local TV show with a very strange performance. She just showed up, no word was said, plaid her thing and disappeared. Just then I thought she was very unpolite and arrogant. Then I somehow got into Bad Guy that was running all over the place and of course I got curious. I dug deeper into her discography (Even beyond ... read more
Surprisingly enjoyable
Last time I listened to a Def Leppard album was probably in the early 2000's when I was a kid. My parents had some vinyl of them, and I liked some songs really well. Twenty years later, I found out they still exist, and they had released an album not too long ago. Of course, I had to listen to it. I have to say it is exactly what I expected, only I thought I wouldn't enjoy it.
The album is nothing ground-breaking nor even new. It is generic, sometimes even boring 80's ... read more
It comes a little late, but it comes.
So MGK has ventured into my musical realm, so I feel obligated to write a review. I may be a bit longer as I will digress a bit from the album and also go into various topics such as his career, the beef with Eminem and his image.
Machine Gun Kelly was a common name to me on and off, but I never really connected with any song. Mainly hip-hop and "possibly not so mine" were floating around in my head. Then came the Beef.
Short flashback and my ... read more
Wow, this took me at least 5 listens to rate this properly.
Twenty One Pilots make a totally different album from everything they have done so far. And this is ... uhm ... a pitty I think. Scaled and Icy is still a very enjoayle album and it brings a new and fresh vibe into their discography but it isn't what i wanted from them nor what I expected from them.
I had my troubles with trench too, in the beginning, but I started to love it very much with the mix of different music they offered ... read more
Here we go, Rise Against, I was actually hyped a.f.
I don't want to make this too long...
Rise Against are now around for some time and they always have been some kind of secret favourite of mine. I mean for all the time they have always made at least decent albums, even though they weren't able to catch up with their golden times back in the 2000s recently.
But after the very first listen I can say, this is better than their latest outputs, not overwhelmingly better, but still. From Front ... read more
