'For You' is a very interesting project more than it's outright amazing (okay it has the goods too).
it starts off with the weird track that is "I'm Waiting (Just 4 U) which is kinda odd even though it's a pretty straightforward house song with interesting samples and decent production.
we then ascend to the certified banger that is "For You" which has some of the more interesting melodic and percussive elements out of all the tracks here but if we're being honest the song really gets going when the sample drops and the song turns into pure ecstasy.
now...."Emotional Melodical" is more of an ambient/house passage that keeps the defining aspects of both genres but doesn't feel like a total mess. it definitely is interesting and has some very nice production but nothing about feels too distinct and while it's a nice song, it doesn't really gel well with the other songs here but it's an EP so...whatever.
onwards we are meet with "Rave City" which has what i think to be the best production here and is more well structured. It also helps that the lead melody is very nice and the guitar arpeggios just sound great here.
lastly...we have "Westbourne Ave" and "Dear Nan King" which have big sounding lead synths, strong grooves and very nice progressions. The former sounding more like a film score/soundtrack and the latter more like a simple house tune.
if you've made it this far you'll notice how i choose to go track by track with this one and that's because it's what works best here since as a whole it doesn't really work perfectly given that it's an EP but the songs themselves are pretty good.
Good stuff.
