Not too bad. Sufjan is, as always, on point with his production, and I still really appreciate the sentiment behind his whole concept that he's working with now. I do feel that the more calming atmosphere on Meditations was more enjoyable and pleasant on the ear, but this is in no way bad. I would like to see a bit more sounds beyond ambient music, however.

This album was actually my introduction to London Grammar, a band which I heard a lot about and seemed quite interesting, but I never actually listened to. And Californian Soil, the band's third album, was certainly one hell of an introduction.

The first of five records about the stages of grief, Meditations is another great work from the legendary Sufjan Stevens. It really does feel like music to meditate to, very calming and relaxing. I just wish that he would have sung or vocalized over at least one track, so I could really feel him on it. But either way, this is still a really good ambient album that has me wondering what will happen next.

This is it, the first re-recorded version of one of Taylor Swift's albums! She decided to take Fearless, her first album to get truly widespread recognition and win a Grammy, as the first one to release. I always loved the original version, thinking of it as a fun country-pop album with some stunning moments on it that helped bring country back into the mainstream. And now, this new version which Taylor fully owns the masters to almost completely satisfied me.
I think that here, the biggest ... read more

Brockhampton, the (self-proclaimed) world's greatest boyband are back for the first time in a couple of years, ROADRUNNER. From the very beginning, it was apparent that there was a lot riding on the album in terms of the group's ability and public reception, because the departure of their former member Ameer Vann seemed to heavily affect the group's mindset and the writing of their past couple of albums, and not in a good way. So it was obvious that the next thing they do would help determine ... read more
