I’ll definitely be coming back to this one a lot.
Edit: As I predicted, I have come back to this one. It is now one of my favourite albums of all time.
Personally, I think it’s an improvement on Ultramega OK, and it’s cool to see Soundgarden’s progress. But it’s still not without its flaws.
Edit: I like this one a lot. Just wanted to clarify that since this review came off as overly negative upon re-reading it.
Soundgarden are one of my favourite bands of all time, and this album was enjoyable for me personally simply because this album was their first commercial LP. But with that said, it’s not flawless. Far from it. Not bad though, especially considering it’s their debut.
it’s not a perfect album, and the production is a little unfortunate, but it’s still one of RHCP’s best, and still an enjoyable listen.
Gah damn. I honestly don’t think it’s as great as OK Computer, but it’s close. It’s really close. Close enough that I’ll give it the same score anyway.
Edit: Idfk. This is just as good as OKC, if not better. Problem is, I cant decide if its just as good or better, so I'll leave the score the same.
There are some definite low points in this album, but the high points might just make up for it. Maybe that’s just my nostalgia talking, though. Who knows.
It’s far from perfect, but I thought it was very enjoyable. There are some bangers on here for sure, and it’s a great CD to leave in my car.
Essential 80s rock album. Honesty, I think I like this one a little bit more than Hysteria.
There’s some moments on this album that don’t stick the landing, but as an experimental hip hop album, it’s pretty great. I’m honestly surprised with how low these ratings are.
I feel like this thing doesn’t get the appreciation it deserves. It’s a great album, and a grunge classic.
It’s good, but not great. Maybe I just need to listen to it one more time to really get it.
Edit: I get it.
I don’t think it’s as great as Muse’s earlier stuff, but it’s still pretty damn good
I heard “Hard Times” somewhere before and I remember liking it a lot. I finally decided to listen to the whole thing, and I was not disappointed.
Franz Ferdinand drop some fire ass rock music on their debut release. Very impressive.
