The Heavy return with 2019's "Sons" which sees the group do what they do best. Funky guitar riffs combined with James Brown-esc vocals. Heavy for you, Better as One & Fire where my personal stand out tracks on this record. The album does feel a little too heavy with the second half not being as strong as the first.

Dude Range shows a healthy growth in maturity in both production quality and song writing ability on Blink's previous album Cheshire Cat. "Dammit" is far and away the jewel in the crown here and remains one of the strongest songs in the bands discography to this date. That isn't to say the rest of the album is without merit. Rodgers attempts to assassinate his own legacy with a re-release of arguably his greatest ever work. A few dull songs which are frequently interrupted with nonsensical gibberish he tries to pass off as poetry. I wasn't expecting much but this under-delivered.

What a strange little album Code Orange has gifted us here. Not only does the quality significantly vary over the course of the album, but over each song. While the above is a unique addition to the band’s discography, I can see why It garners such mixed reviews. Having listened to the record several times now, I still can’t fully make my mind up on it.
