UV-TV - Happy

The Florida garage rock/punk band releases their second album. It’s a 27-minute rumbling and contagious ride. The band goes for a simplistic yet effective approach, with tight hooks and scratchy guitars. The flashy drumming is impressive, though sometimes a bit rushed. On most of the songs, the vocals sound pleasant, but on the last two tracks, they fall short. The record does not end on a very strong note because of this. Compared to their debut album, the band’s songwriting has improved with a ‘fuller’ sound. “Happy” has its flaws, but does bring a lot of fun energy.
Best track: “Hide”
