So I've played this quite a bit since it's been released. The album cover is reminiscent of "Astroworld", and I unrealistically expected a concept album about aliens in the 80s, lmao. I have a really nice memory of playing this in the car while driving my brother to school on a rainy morning. “For Emma, Forever Ago” perfectly fit with our surroundings outside my car windows. I hope to experience this blissful feeling again. This album soothes sadness. There’s the context of Justin’s winter being sick and alone in a cabin. There’s beautiful songwriting. "Youth" was the only song that appealed to me at first. Gave the rest of this album more listens out of the blue and now it's one of my go-to's. Fun album.

Track notes/spoilers...

1. Life Itself: The best song in their discography.
2. Youth: Smooth, detailed production, and nicely layered vocals on the chorus. Amazing rhythm.
3. Season 2 Episode 3: Grew on me quite a bit over the years. Unique fusion of hip-hop and electronic.
