NOTE: I'm using this song as an IMDB review of TADC episode 9 (Also this will contain spoilers for the episode)
Episode 9 was not the best ending we could've gotten, but it was a great ending & that alone is a testament to Gooseworx's amazing storytelling & her ability to get, at the very least, me attached to these characters. The only negatives I have was the pacing, & the time travel(?) that was not only confusing, but also felt like it was a forced way to ... read more
Nehru's third EP is definitely a step down from his last album, as it's very inconsistent. This album at its best I'd say Nehru shows flashes of Kendrick Lamer, but at at its worst this album sounds like a 2000's rappers way of escaping a record deal. Another thing I'll give Nehru credit for being able to make longer songs, in comparison to his first two albums which had much shorter songs, he has definitely grown in that regard. I don't know what made Nehru say ... read more
Nehru's second EP is not only an improvement from his first, but also shows how versatile he really is as an artist. This album's production was much better & didn't rely off of other big name producers, the songs are longer, & the song is much more consistent in terms of lyrics & writing. Nehru's first album, is actually pretty good for a 16 year old. Every song is a pleasant listen & Nehru is definitely a skilled rapper. I do think this album is confused on what it is, the first half of the album is about common topics for a young rappers debut album, but the second half are mostly love songs of some sort. This doesn't take away from the album but it is a bit odd when you listen to 3 songs about love back-to-back-to-back. I can't say I recommend this album to ... read more
Danger Mouse's return back to the hip-hop genre, is a bold, new direction for the producer. His production is definitely not as good as his previous hip-hop albums, but Black Thought picks up the slack left by Danger. I will also give the features there due's, none take away from the songs they are on. I appreciate the boldness to cut out the filler, with every song having no hook & a lack of intro's & interludes. I would like to say I recommend this album to people who ... read more
