I'm convinced the internet music community just chose a random pop artist to call good.
Carly Rae Jepsen is no different then every other factory-produced dance pop artist nowadays. You got your 45 minute album: Fill it with mostly dull tracks with insanely unique names like "Shooting Star", "Far Away", and "Be Nice", and pepper in a few shitty tracks. Boom. You got yourself an album. Send it back along the conveyer belt and continue the process.
