Everything that rubbed me the wrong way about "Shoot for the stars, Aim for the moon" is just amplified on "Faith" except there's less 50 Cent.
There's even less substantial Pop Smoke material available, the few tracks which don't ham-fistedly shove a feature in there are brief and rough-around-the-edges. At least though tracks feel natural as they feature the only appearances from 808Melo on "Brush Em" and "Beat The Speaker". Most of this album isn't ... read more

CHIEF KEEF BINGE #8
"Extra GLO" isn't underwhelming as much as it is just a little forgettable. (Except for one track...)
Since Keef has been relatively quiet for the past years, "Extra GLO" was refreshing to hear. Maybe this would signal the direction that Keef would be heading in the future.
Unfortunately, "Extra GLO" is a scatter-brained group of tracks that reminds the listener of a whole myriad of different Keef eras. On the other hand, there's nothing ... read more

Chief Keef's "The W"'s stripped-back presentation ends up awkwardly preventing much of his creativity to shine through leading to some unflattering moments.
To be honest, There's not much to say about "The W". Chief Keef isn't embarking on as many risky detours as he usually does nor is hereutrning to the intense drill rage of early tapes. That being said, "The W" isn't annoyingly safe or anything, the tracks here are still distinctly far ... read more

I was worried about this one. I'm not crazy about Zaytoven's production especially considering that this was made in 2019 which is past Zay's peak relevance imo. I don't know, he's obviously very influential and everything but his whole plucky piano schtick can across as cheap-sounding and gimmicky when he overuses it or relies on it too much.
Fortunately, Keef rarely accepts mediocrity. It's clear to me that Keef inspires Zay to go above and beyond with his production, ... read more

Hey there, thanks for the kind words. Sorry for the delay, I've been busy and haven't been on aoty in a bit. Honestly, I'm having a hard time getting into much new this year... not sure why, but I have a lot of albums that I just cant find the desire to focus on. I suppose the one noteworthy thing I enjoy that most don't know is Dom & The Wizards. Not sure if you are into "freak folk" or lofi garage, but if so give them a try!
