Pinned Review

At the risk of sounding like an absolute nerd, this entire album feels like an intergalactic adventure of the ages.

Bicep goes further into the rabbit-hole and truly emphasises the "future" part of "future garage". Not only do we have some of the most blissful and enthralling melodies I've heard in the genre with the STELLAR singles, "Atlas" & "Saku". We also have a generally more refined album experience than their debut, as Bicep keep it down to ... read more

I loved this when it was just an interlude on Headie One & Fred Again's stellar EP last year. So, imagine how excited I was to finally be getting the full version of this track. Did it live up to my expectations?

It certainly did. Twigs' performance may not be one of her most passionate or memorable, but it's subtlety is what makes it so artful matched with the beauty of the music video. THen I was not expecting Headie One to go so hard in his verse, with some really poignant and focused ... read more

I've been waiting for a more complete Ashnikko project for a while. "DEMIDEVIL" may not be the ambitious show-stopper I was hoping for, however Ashnikko is still a promising artist making some charismatic and colorful pop rap bangers.

Ashton Nicole Casey A.K.A Ashnikko is a North Carolina rapper who has been steadily growing a devote fanbase. She has put out three EPs prior to the release of "DEMIDEVIL" along with a handful of singles. For the most part, I've really enjoyed ... read more

I'm going to watch this movie tonight so might as well listen to the soundtrack before.

It's fine. If you're a hardcore fiend for that grimy Griselda sound, then you'll definitely find some tracks to enjoy. However, this is just passable for most of these artists. Plus, just like most soundtracks and group albums, this thing suffers from a serious amount of inconsistency. Gunn, Benny & Boldy are all guaranteed to deliver a certain level of performance, however some of the more unknown ... read more

It finally got placed under Dean's page on Spotify!!
"ZUSHI" is a meticulously meditative experience for all to enjoy! Sprinkle in some stunning performances from long-time collaborator of Dean's, Joanne Robertson and some stand-out appearances from guests like Yung Lean, Sauce Walka, Panda Bear & A$AP Rocky and BOOM! you end up with a great record.

This is an essential for me, since I always play this to concentrate or study, something about how it feels like one grand ... read more

Definitely an improvement on "Vision", however I still think Travis' performance is just sort of lackluster? It's like these songs are just throwaways, sorta undercooked.
21 Savage's appearance is much sharper and more memorable, plus those subtle piano & (i think) violin embellishments are elegant.

Hello, I love your album reviews.
My new EP, a very short one has just released. Will be grateful if you listen and review it. I need honest review, it could be harsh but I want to know what people thinks and how can I improve. There's is some Hindi Lyrics (very few) but the 90% of the album is English. Attaching the AOTY and Spotify link. Will be grateful forever if you respond. 🙏🙏

What is your favorite album of the year 1970, and could I get a few words on your thoughts on that album!?

{I’m going to be doing a series of lists where I go through AOTYs favorite albums of every year since 1970 and this is the first part of that ultimate goal!!}

Hello Andre! What is an album that you've given a 100 score, and why so?

Simple explanations are fine enough, but detailed reasoning is of course welcome. If you have multiple 100s, then just pick one of them as your answer. It's for a list by the way. Thanks in advance, and have a great day!

Hey, I was finally able to write a poem that fit my feelings for an album. Actually, they are two poems that form a single story. They are a bit long (each has 9 stanzas), but I hope you like them. You can find the first as a review in Joanna Newsom's Ys and its sequel in Car Seat Headrest's Twin Fantasy. The poems are about my emotional dependence on my best friend, who I fell in love with, and the end of our relationship.

I also wanted to clarify that I write what in spanish is known as "verso libre", basically I don't follow the rules of meter and rhyme of "classical poetry". Let me know what you think of them as soon as you can, otherwise I would think they are very bad. I keep waiting for the list by the way

Hi, hope you’ve been doing well! I had a question for you, what’s your least favorite album from your favorite artist? Thanks in advance!

Hey there!

I'm a Brazilian-American film/basketball & philosophy enthusiast currently in Denmark in a boarding school, studying for the SATs. No words can describe how much music is important to me. Hopefully, my reviews can try to do so.
