An instant classic of abstract hip hop and my highest scored album of the year. However, scores aren't everything and I'm going to step back on calling it my AOTY for a little while, allowing it to sink in. I've listened to this 6 times today and still in shock by how much I loved an Earl Sweatshirt album.
About the best you could ask for from a fallen pop star nearing 50 years old. Some good ole capital R & B that is never revelatory but manages to relevant to the current pop landscape without seeming desperate.
