Björk - Homogenic

Holy hell this thing grew on me so much. I was dead set on what I thought was just overall boring. Maybe it was because this is my first Björk album, but originally I thought the very clean production was the only thing going for it as I thought Björk's vocals didn't really fit and were quite odd. On the third listen I was completely entranced at the beauty of well.... everything. Björk's vocals fit like a glove in the production which seems simplistic but also often blows up especially with the gorgeous strings. The lyrics themselves easily reflected the instrumentation and pulled me into the experience much further. The overall themes work themselves into Björk's vocal performance throughout different points on the record. Overall hopefully I won't do this for records in the future.
