The National - Laugh Track

Just a little bit more cohesive than previous albums and with a more straight forward mood and feeling which doesn't precisely relies on ambientation and experimentation, "Laugh Track" is just one more album for the career of this band that, at least from "Sleep Well Beast" (2017), I simply can't enjoy. Are they too American? Are they too experimental? I don't know, and I don't like feeling like I have to listen to them a little too much just to try to get their exercise and ... read more
Alan Palomo - World of Hassle

What an album, so groovy, very funky and with a nice touch of mellowness. Nostalgic and futuristic, cute and up beat. This is a very simple album that shifts the sound of instruments into something very synthetic, yet also fresh and kind of warm.

I've always liked what Alan Palomo has done in Neon Indian. He has a mind for the synth that allows you to dream, dance and go incredibly beyond with the feeling he evokes, and "World Of Hassle" is a new chance to be a tourist in a very ... read more

I was afraid this would happen. I'm not closed to metal music, and it is actually one of the genres that I might listen the less. But I simply love music and I won't ever close myself to what music is capable of doing, and Baroness has become a band with such powerful presence in my life since I discover them... I thought they might lag down a bit this year as normally happens with many bands... but I'm scared and surprised of the greatness this album has within and the astonishing style, ... read more
Explosions In The Sky - End

I'm sure I've heard about Explosions In The Sky in some point of my life, I don't remember being too excited to hear from them but now that they give us a new album after 7 years, I took the chance and... I'm very disappointed.

I'm sorry. I won't deny there is an instrumentalization work in this project, but the narrative is completely flat or non-existent. The album starts in a slow rush to nowhere and the rest of the tracks simply replicates this feeling. At least for me.
There is pause, ... read more

Thirty Seconds to Mars - It's the End of the World, But It's a Beautiful Day

Well, in my life listening to music, I haven't heard something as cringy as this... fortunately. This is the first time I carefully listen to TSTM and I guess I can hear why everyone is being a little too hard on them.

There is a hipper pop in this music with some incredibly generic lyrics absent of any lesson or something new, original, genuine or authentic, which is a little weird to say because this is the first time I hear something this fleeting and superfluous.

I just hope the Letos are ... read more
