All it takes is one album to realize we are in some very unconventional shit. Considering the album title, the album artwork, the track listing, and the fact this was as far as I know a suprise drop. When it comes to albums that you don't see coming, this definetly is up there, seeing Childish Gambino show elements of Funk and Soul on Because the Internet was cool, but him being able to make an entire album around it, and nail it is really suprisingly.

Me And Your Mama is a classic, with an intro, then a psych rock intro that has Gambino going off on his vocals. What a way to open an album. After that Have Some Love is a southern gospel type song, and it's really enjoyable here. Boogieman ... read more

In terms of single improvement from album to album, this is probably the highest improvement I have seen. Now, is that because Because The Internet is really good.. or Camp is really bad. Well let's find out.

So to start this album is a concept album, based around like a 90 page script that goes in line with the album. I'll be upfront and say I didn't care enough to look at the script. Now if I did, would it affect my score? It might have just not by a lot.
