Elbow - Giants Of All Sizes

Decent record, with both powerful and bland moments.

Never really been into Elbow's music, although I haven't checked out what's considered their best material (The Seldom Seen Kid). To be perfectly honest, I've never been into music like this, as of late. For me, vocalists that I would consider the generic "good" singers (radio friendly) I find myself automatically not liking the music as much. The more I've listened to and explored different types of music, I seem to lean more toward weird, or unique sounding vocalists. I can see why there is a buzz here though In general, there are many beautiful portions and even some sections that could be considered a "poor man's "In Rainbows" (that's a complement lol). At the end of the day, my final verdict is that it's a good record, but not one I can see myself returning to, especially as a whole.
