In many respects, the sounds and aesthetics of kick iiii are very reminiscent of its cover; many of these tracks feel as if they're something larger than yourself, monumental and statuesque in nature.
And yet, there are still moments throughout kick iiii that do not sit right with me. The opening 'Whoresong' meanders on and on, never really reaching the intrigue of other tracks on kick iiii, while the pitched vocals on 'Hija' clip consistently enough to hinder my enjoyment of a relatively serene moment.

Regardless, kick iiii builds upon the mellower, atmospheric vibe attempted two Kicks back on KICK ii. I'm just left wishing I could like it more – I really, really want to.
