NewJeans - New Jeans

Heard this had somehow unseated BTS for the most streamed song in South Korea, so I just had to see who Booty Turd Shit’s enders were.

Aside from hearing bits and pieces of ‘Hype Boy’ on Twitter (mainly this insanely cool animation: https://twitter.com/mlgng2010/status/1570431657349611523), I’m still pleasantly surprised by just how good this EP is, especially for a group comprised of such young members. Leaning more toward 90’s and 2000’s style R&B, this little EP is much groovier than I had anticipated it to be. So very excited to be able to catch this group so early, I have a feeling that they’re going to be huge down the line.
