Saturday Night Wrist is pure melancholic, aquatic, bittersweet euphoria. It formally began what was arguably Deftones' golden age, placing a high bar for the distinct blend of alt-metal and shoegaze that defined them as all-time greats and one of the few long-term success stories spawned from the nu metal era. Saturday Night Wrist delivers both halves of their sound with a kind of precision that they frankly haven't hit since. To me, this is *the* Deftones album.
The last minute of Pink Cellphone does not exist. If it did exist, I would adamantly refuse to acknowledge it, because something that painful to listen to would've only been included by mistake and I forgive mistakes. Maybe you should too :) No further comment.
