I realized just a few days ago that I hadn't written a full review of this album. However, I think that's for the better.
For me, this album has always been one that sits beyond words. It's like going into learning something completely blind, where do I even begin? There are so many layers to explore and every time I think I'm ready to fully engage myself with this record, I come to find out that there's so much more I need to learn and experience before I can love it and understand it as much ... read more
I am simply at a loss for words. Never before have I seen an album that perfectly encapsulates the state of America in the late 90s and early 2000s before 9/11. It seems that many people like to believe that the era was a golden age, but this album brings to light the problems that went unaddressed when they really needed to be. This album is something a lot ... read more
Edit: (76 → 99) I did not do this album justice in my original review. After re-listening to this record, I think my past self sounds like an actual maniac. I have no idea how one would even arrive at the opinion I once had. In all honesty, the beats took a back seat during my re-listen. I did not choose for them to take a back seat; instead, I became captivated by the lyricism on this record. The lyrics from front to back are amazing. They convey the concepts, themes, and emotions ... read more
