Not too different from any other Death Metal out there, even though I understand that some of the instrumentation is quite impressive.
Even though Crazy is an amazing song, the rest of this album isn't really doing it
Not bad, but not good
I miss the old Kanye, straight from the 'Go Kanye
Chop up the soul Kanye, set on his goals Kanye
I hate the new Kanye, the bad mood Kanye
The always rude Kanye, spaz in the news Kanye
I miss the sweet Kanye, chop up the beats Kanye

Some of the instrumentation here is just incredible, but it does get a bit repetitive after a while.
Even though the production and vocals are quite relaxing and fitting, they do get a bit repetitive after a while
Other than the first two songs and last one, it is primarily composed of long guitar solos, but this is not so bad
I thought this would be ok at best going into it, but I was completely wrong.
How is the production so good.
Compared to today's standards, the production is not that impressive, but Q-Tip's production would have been amazing back in 1991 because of all of the equipment needed to produce it. Furthermore, the vocals are also quite dynamic for the time even if it becomes a bit repetitive after a while.
I agree with @PipePanic here that the record contains quite a lot of emotion and carefully made melodies, but they really played it too safe here so it just comes out boring.
Middle of the album is just normal idm, but the instrumentation at the start and towards the end is especially beautiful. Great use of synthesisers through out the record to set the mood too.
