I mean....I kind of get what daft punk wanted to do, they probably wanted to do a complete different work and test their skills and create more experimental music in comparison to their peaked album, just like kanye did with yeezus and radiohead did with kid a, but unfortunately...they were lazy I guess.
Many times Album gets boring, repetitive (not in a good way) and even unlistenable. It has no charm and passion unlike their previous works. Still, I admit robot rock made a smile on my face.
Pretty generic, especially for a kanye album. A lot of songs suffer from bad mixing and corny lyrics. It's less visible on songs like selah and follow god and use this gospel, but they are still far from getting done. Kanye's energy on selah is great even if his words are cringworthy and I can't lie, the hallelujah part was epic, follow god good use of the sample while kanye's lyrics still need working.
