A near-masterpiece. The fact that this is a sister album to "Circles" is even more incredible. His best musical projects ever, in my opinion. Partly has to do with the memories of beginning college and learning to drive in my very first car. A lot of nostalgia contained in this album, but the feelings as well as the quality of these songs still stand just on their own.

I always seem to discover a music artist or explore their discography organically, and then they drop music either after a years-long hiatus or just drop new music at the perfect time. First it was Swans, then Slowdive, and now Aphex Twin. And I can't say that this new installation from him was disappointing in the least bit. The Ye bar was off-putting for me. No matter who your circle is, defending that man in 2023 let alone even 7 years ago is a no-go. So many people seem to elevate Kanye to a god-tier status but refuse to condemn his just plain questionable morals at this point, and it doesn't seem to deter anyone.
That aside, the album itself doesn't exactly define a Utopia, but it does see Travis return to his psychedelic roots with a mix of R&B and experimental styles mixed in. I really enjoyed how the ... read more
Surprisingly not as mid as I thought it would be. Generic, sure. But not a bad catchy tune before the Utopia Era hits.
