Have a Nice Life - Deathconsciousness

Aside from Long Season live, this is the greatest accomplishment I’ve heard in music.
The Weeknd - Dawn FM

Unbelievably good, his best album aside from Trilogy. 0 skips for me just fucking amazing stuff
Bladee - 333

No, I don't like it. At all.
Radiohead - Kid A
97
Thom Yorke rejects the notion that the disc was designed to be "challenging", but he didn't explain why it sounds like a score composed for an experimental dance troupe. It also fails to sweep away preconceptions about Radiohead, pandering to the worst cliches about their relentless miserabilism.
Eminem - Music To Be Murdered By
60
It's really over hated ngl, but then again AOTY has an immense bias towards Eminem.

Don't get me wrong tho, there's a lot of shit here but there is also some great things about it like the posse cuts and production. There's a lot to be desired though.

JACKBOYS & Travis Scott - JACKBOYS
55
Mid in every form possible. Don Toliver stood out heavily but other than that I don't think anything here will stick out
Drake - War

Please, please never use a British accent again
Kanye West - JESUS IS KING

You guys expect way too much from a gospel album. It's good.
French Montana - Twisted

Logic delivered one of the worst verses in hip hop of all time right here
88rising - Head In The Clouds II
39
A bunch of nothing and is a complete mess of music with very generic sounding bland mix of K Pop, Hip Hop and RnB. The first Head in the Clouds was really good but this is just... nothing. Pitiful.
Danny Brown - uknowhatimsayin¿
70
There's definitely some thematical undertone to it about the hardships of life, but it's not as strong as AE. The production is very varied but is very focused on establishing a sound that is more jazzy and laid-back if anything. The tracks are individually really good and Danny's rapping is still solid with great delivery.

It's not as good as AE however, and it's more just Danny delving into where he's been with some really entertaining features in RTJ and Peggy.

Almost an AOTY contender ... read more

Drake - Take Care

One amazing pop rap record with amazing production, Drake's best body of work by a long shot and will probably stay that way for a long time.

BEST TRACK: Marvin's Room
WORST TRACK: Make Me Proud

JPEGMAFIA - All My Heroes Are Cornballs
94
Do you think you know me?

The only thing I know is that Peggy has never disappointed even if we like to meme about it. Hazy production, abstract lyricism and godly shitposting in music form is perfection.

Post Malone - Hollywood's Bleeding
78
I may be some normie who likes generic as fuck pop-trap music but I really enjoyed this a lot, almost at the same level of Beerbongs in term of enjoyment. It's fun to listen to and has a good amount of bangers for me to listen to actively with the usual Post production. Sadly the near end of the album completely falls apart and is awkward to listen to.

BEST TRACK: Take What You Want
WORST TRACK: Internet

Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
97
3030 is the best intro to a hip hop album I've ever heard. Apart from that, this is one of the most phenomenally produced hip hop albums ever, with one of the strongest, unique concepts I've listened to. It's a masterpiece and is severely under-rated, because there's a good chance there'll never be an album like this ever again.
IDK - IS HE REAL?
67
EDIT: As individual tracks their cohesion starts to drop even more, the theme overall is decent enough but his rapping ability begins to show faults at the end of the album.

A solid concept presented throughout, amazing vocal energy and requires a lot of repeated listens to grasp the entire theme and concept.

J Dilla - Donuts
100
EDIT: Nope. It's pretty much perfect.

An absolutely phenomenal display of instrumental prowess and shows off his amazing production skills. It's truly a shame he passed away so young, if he hadn't I'd firmly believe he'd be the best producer of all time.

CunninLynguists - A Piece of Strange
88
It's strange how under-rated this absolute classic of a hip hop album is, there's so much lyricism and production packed into a solid concept. There's very few conscious hip hop albums nowadays that can execute it as well as this has and I'll forever see this as an under-rated gem.

BEST TRACK: The Gates
WORST TRACK: Hellfire

The Chainsmokers - Bouquet
20
Roses was okay, the rest was absolutely awful as per usual from Chainsmokers
Rapsody - Eve
80
Sucks that this album is going to be overshadowed by GINGER, but this is easily my favourite release this week. Consistently showing she's the best female rapper in the game with solid production and sticky flows and hooks is entertaining as fuck and makes this a joy of an album.

BEST TRACK: Ibtihaj
WORST TRAC: Sojourner
