A good portion of 2021 has already passed by, but just now I’m finding out about this record from January that at the end of the year will certainly seat among the best releases of the (then) past 12 months.

Explosive, spectacular, and unexpected; this album hits you with an insane sonic power, which is even more impressive given that it barely uses any instruments to achieve this. The six voices of members of San Salvador and a few percussion ... read more

DARKSIDE don’t look back, with ‘Spiral’ they leave the unforgettable and original, but sometimes really anti-climactic direction of ‘Psychic’ behind, marking a completely new era in the band’s history.

The question that bothers probably everyone encountering this record: is ‘Spiral’ better than DARKSIDE’s debut? And right off the bat I’m gonna say - no, it is not. But don’t panic, ... read more

Quality pop at its finest.

I don't typically review singles here, but for songs like this one it's good to make an exception. AURORA comes back after a year with the second (after 'Exist for Love') single from her upcoming album, and it is absolutely brilliant.

On 'Cure for Me' AURORA shows yet another unique take on popular music, after insanely solid and distinctive, powerful style of the 'Infections of a Different Kind' - 'A Different Kind of Human' double project. She once again uses an ... read more

Michael League's solo debut "So Many Me" is one of the most ambitious pop-oriented records you will hear this year, but at the same time, it leaves you with the bittersweet aftertaste, that, ironically, it could've explored much more than it actually did.

League is not an industry debutant though, or even should I say, he is an industry legend at this point. Having been composing and producing (AND playing) music for over fifteen years, with the ... read more

The incredible, outstanding highs of "Ancient Dreams in a Modern World" don't, unfortunately, manage to carry the rest of the record, which lows are quite overwhelming.

As I said, the best moments on the new Marina's album are just spectacular, but all of them are laid out basically across the first three songs - "Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land", "Venus Fly Trap", and "Man's World". Here we have everything. Very ... read more

ALBUM OF THE MONTH: May 2021

While "Cavalcade" isn't by any means a perfect album, the boldness, and musical and conceptual confidence presented here by black midi reach over the moon, and could certainly be compared to those of the all-time greats like King Crimson or David Bowie.

This album offers probably the most tastefully balanced, sophisticated, and diversified sound we heard this year so far. There's this feeling of absolute control ... read more

Hey, I hope you're doing well.

I'm making a list and I'd love to know which album has had the greatest influence on your current taste in music? If you want, I'd also appreciate it if you could say exactly how it's made you grow/learn more as a listener (don't worry, you don't have to do this part).

Thank you for reading and answering, if you do.
