Kendrick Lamar - GNX
83

Kendrick loves his 1987 Buick Grand National GNX so much he made a whole album rapping about it, I think

Fiona Apple - When the Pawn...

No skips, doesn’t waste your time, emotionally resonant and extremely slay. I wish it had a bit more variety as most of the songs sounded similar on first lesson, it probably won’t be that way on repeat

KSI - Thick of It / Low

People say this is trash, but they obviously don’t know what it’s like to go from the screen to the ring to the pen to the king

Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?

Champagne Supernova is 10/10 the rest is pretty forgettable but fun

The Smile - Wall of Eyes

Really nice listen from the Radiohead boys. Standout track is Bending Hectic, such a beautiful piece of progressive rock.

Weezer - OK Human

Perfect album to play when you start to loose faith in humanity and just want to listen to heartful and passionate Weezer bops

Paul McCartney & Linda McCartney - Ram

His best solo album by a pretty wide margin. Heads across the water, hands across the sky!

Childish Gambino - Bando Stone and The New World

Not as memorable as brat, but is very layered, interesting and enjoyable making me encouraged to go through Donald's past discography.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

A required listen for all fans of music and entertainment in general. In my first listen I was not at all engaged, skipped a few songs and just stopped listening at the seemingly daunting task that was listening to Mortal Man’s 13 minute runtime. Rap is not my thing, but I’m open now to give albums I wouldn’t be familiar with a chance. This album in particular is a lot to take in and needs full attention. An intensely transformative, colorful experience hidden behind the black ... read more

David Bowie - Hunky Dory

While the second half isn’t as catchy as the first, it still stays fun and entertaining throughout the entire runtime. The hits off of this are undeniably amazing with some underrated deep cuts. Overall, Bowie’s first great album and a nice starter for what’s to come later in the 70s.

Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Incredibly ahead of its time, obviously! War Pigs is such a masterful achievement and the best intro you could ever get. Every song builds together to create a fully complete/connected experience. The last couple songs have there moments full of drum solos, sweet Ozzy vocals and heavy metal riffs, but I wish they were stronger as an album closer.

Neil Cicierega - Bustin

More enjoyable than the OG song, because of how overplayed it is.

Kanye West - Yeezus

The sound of this album is very addictive and delightfully disturbing

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS

The very definition of short but sweet.

Charli xcx - BRAT

Sure it can get repetitive as usual club tunes do, but dang this is some of the best pop stuff I’ve heard in a long while. I’m glad there’s a pop artist who is willing to grow, change her style up a bit and provide a head-banging, emotionally lyrical, sizzling-synth acid dance-pop album.

Frank Zappa - Hot Rats

So many moving parts and jazzy tunes that definitely need a few more listens to truly vibe and sink my teeth into its wonderful sound.
