[David Bowie's discography ranking 25/27]https://youtu.be/lCy04DTYTmA?si=bO65_H52OvTLhlen
On one of his show at "Reality" Tour, Bowie suffer heart attack. Rest of shows on tour were cancelled and Bowie withdrew from public view. In that time, he has showed up in some films. He have made special version of "Changes" with Butterfly Boucher for "Shrek 2". Wes Anderson film -"The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou", features many covers of classic Bowie songs. In that time also Bowie show up in "Spongebob". Most important movie roles he had at that time are, his "Zoolander" appearance and Nolan's "The Prestige", where he played Nikola Tesla. In 2011, "Toy" leaked on internet. And after 10 years of not releasing albums, Bowie has returned with "The Next Day". Records lyrical themes are mostly about passing of time and legacy, which is great themes for legendary act, close to end of his career. Bowie's vocal performances are really solid. Instrumentation is really inspired by his "Berling Trilogy", and with modern production, still sounds like 40 years ago "Low" or "Heroes". Overall, this is great record, with some of my favorite songs of his not from 70's.
Best Songs: The Stars, Valentine's Day and Where Are We Now?
Worst Songs: How Does the Grass Grow?, Dancing Out In Space
Songs avg. rating - 84 +5 for great lyricsm and instrumentation.
