Drums do get repetitive after a while but most tracks here have an identity of their own and sound great. Nia's debut is a great effort that I still find myself going back for multiple songs after months. Crowded Roomz had been one of, if not the first single to my knowledge. It is arguably the best and most popular listen while I've gotten a bit bored of that specific track there are still many others I love. Nia Archives is quickly on pace to becoming a favorite electronic artist of ... read more
Andy Samberg is so lucky bro..
I have yet to hear anything remotely bad from Joanna Newsom. Her discography like her harp skills is flawless, The subtlety in her voice is the best and still the most soothing thing ever. The songwriting on every track to the angelic instrumentals are worthy of so much gratitude. Can't believe she hasn't made it on Apple Music's top 100.
The instrumental breaks on this LP are very refreshing and masterful. Super chill and digestible listen, the singing and songwriting both feel like they just cross the line past being off-putting/corny and instead sound pretty nice and soothing. This might be my favorite if not 2nd favorite Vampire Weekend project so far.

The voice grew on me. Very catchy tracklist almost the whole way through. Couple bumps at the end but nothing that knocks the entire project off it's feet.
Favorites: King of Sweden, The Tower, Deep in the Night, Say Goodbye, Give Me the Ghost Back, Corner of My Eye, The Thief, Iris, The Fight
Least Favorite: The Garden Wheel
Edit: [40 --> 50] You know what, relistening to this LP feels a bit less irritating than before. Now I'm not saying it's great but it's a bit more bearable now. I'm still a bigger fan of the production and think the delivery/lyrics are quite watered down. However, I went a bit lighter on the writing and at some points I don't mind what he has to say. Overall I still don't care much but I don't HATE the project.
Ok I've made my decision. I genuinely ... read more
Short Review: Definitely a strong group of pop tracks that show the best of Remi Wolf. The albums starts off nice and safe with some radio sounds then gets a bit more active and out of the box toward the second half. Lots of groove but sometimes feels a bit underwhelming.
Favorites: Cinderella, Soup, Toro, Alone in Miami⭐, Cherries & Cream, Kangaroo, Pitiful, Frog Rock
Least Favorite: Just the Start
So far my only favorite single of the three and that says alot because I dislike Kim Petras as an artist.
Summary: A baby fetishizer makes music for girls who wear cat ears and act like wolves.
Apple music's 100th choice for top albums ever and I will admit I judged it off cover. Listening to this in 2010 must've been a much more exclusive one of a kind experience, I can see this being an inspiration and leading example for the pop albums ahead but it's aged pretty poorly in my opinion. We've passed through an evolution and have had many successors do this style but better. LCD soundsystem, Daft Punk, Sophie, Charli XCX, etc. Not to discredit this album but this is ... read more
Don't you bother me
I'm FREEEEEEEE!
This album is freeing.
I gotta admit even though I'm a bigger fan of Milk Eyed Mender, this album is still insanely concise and well-structured. Storytelling on here is worthwhile.
The powerful soul in Aretha's voice is inarguably one of the best ever, if not THE BEST. This LP proves why she's a significant and leading staple in soul music. She leaves you feeling inspired and empowered, almost like she feeds a sense of purpose with each song. Every track will get you out of bed and moving on your feet, trust me. Shoutout to Nina Simone because without her we wouldn't have this perfect cover for Young, Gifted, and Black.
