Dunkey - Donda
NR

I can feel Ye inside me after this one! If you disagree you are nitpicking and biased

Jo Johnson - Weaving
40

There's Aphex twin, Tim Hecker, C418, then about 15 floors down is Jo Johnson. This LP lacks personality and vision almost the whole time. Not much soundscape element put into these tracks nor liveliness. Not much else to say. However I did slightly enjoy the opening track and Words came after music a bit.

September Collective - All the Birds Were Anarchists
70

The album has an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're surrounded by nature. Some tracks fall short of having any refreshing element that makes the experience worthwhile and overall feels one dimensional. While the other half of tracks completely nails its mission.

Favorite Tracks: Out of Intention, Natura, Light Writing, Taking the Trouble, Essentially Unchanged

KYLE - SMYLE AGAIN

13 songs and 2 are tolerable.. You'll get 'em next time Kyle!

Amigo the Devil - Yours Until the War is Over

Daniel Kiranos Brings us yet another folk tale album full of spook, which is dullened by his cringeworthy lyrics and over the top showman-like tracks.

Friko - Where we've been, Where we go from here

Friko delivers their debut LP with each track delivering great build up and lots of sporadic energy! Hopeful to see a more lengthy, in-depth album from these guys.

I was gonna joke and give this a perfect score but my hands wouldn't let me.

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS

Basically sour but with catchy rock element to the tracks. Very Enjoyable.

Yeat - 2093

Yeat finally pulls through with fully fledged production, an immersive atmosphere and club bangers for the car.

Kirin J Callinan - If I Could Sing
70

(edit) 8/10 --> 7/10 - Still super enjoyable just don't find myself being as impressed as my first couple listens, haven't returned too much either for some songs.

Kirin drives into 2024 with this otherworldly synthpop record. I love the balance between electronic and pop he has going (Aphex twin gettin a run for their money), it feels like he’s walking on this thin line between genres and it works in his favor most of the time. Not to mention his very distinct 80s pop sounding voice, ... read more

Brittany Howard - What Now

Brittany Howard back years later with an absolute psychedelic eargasm.

"Cuz the writing is unbearably horrendous lmao. How could you possibly take her seriously? She tries so hard to create a serious atmosphere with thought provoking undertones but ends up writing some seriously goofy shit. I can drop multiple lines from almost every song that are super cringe."

"@Triplo Thanks! It's not a bad album by any means. I'm still taking a few listens but I may up it to a 70 with time."

"@Bandia If I don't mention a song sometimes it may mean that I don't really feel much for it therefore I don't have anything to really speak on but I can understand where you're coming from. I see the appeal, both picnic in paris and stargazing have great vocal performances I don't mind plus the atmosphere is very soothing. However they just don't stand out too much compared to the higher highs he's had on the album in my opinion but that's personal taste."
