Sum 2 Prove

All right, after hearing a positive review from Cry and listening to the new Rico Nasty and Shawn Mendes albums, I’m ready to review this. I’m about to fall asleep so if I suddenly post this, know that I’m passed out.

So this was a high point on the solid “My Turn” but I admit that I rushed listening to that album, I moved songs ahead when they were 3/4 done, and I don’t know how I didn’t find this one of the better ones. I feel like I’d prefer listening to Lil Baby on a playlist or on the aux; this isn’t his fault, it’s just my spastic ass getting distracted, I’m very proud of the successes that he’s had this year.

Intro alone sounds like “Long Time” by playboi carti if it was futuristic, Baby wastes no time and comes in with his smooth vocals, which have grown on me. Sure, I’d rather listen to Roddy Ricch’s vocals but that’s just a personal preference. I think that Baby bodies this song, he’s very on beat, and he’s experimenting with his flows unlike the other “baby” rapper (Dababy lol).


I especially like his vocals on the chorus, sure it’s not Einstein but this is a great song that I’ll add to some of my Spotify playlists. Also, some of his songs are so calm and comforting to me that I could fall asleep to them, once again that’s not an insult, it’s something good that I haven’t seen happen often.
