Kanye West - Late Registration
90

Beautiful, orchestral, my personal favorite of the Kanye College trilogy. Amazing work of heart that has this really consistent tone of success and empowerment, nearly every song has the feel-good or at least optimistic tone to it. Also 'We Major' is probably the best Kanye song ever.

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
90

Probably the best expression of unrequited love and all the emotions that come with it that has ever been done in music. A beautiful and near perfect expression of a state of mind and situation nearly everybody has experienced.

Kanye West - Donda

NO SKIPS! Amazing album, would be perfect if it weren't for the lack of creative consistency, unlike most of Kanye's other works it seems to lack a common theme or tone. 'Praise God' and 'Jail' feel like they're from entirely different albums.

2Pac - The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory

Amazing work of art and self-expression, been a while since I gave it a listen but Bomb First still stands out as the best opening track of all time.

Nas - God's Son
95

An expression of every corner of Nas' being, it expresses his grief over his mom's death in 'Dance', it expresses his confidence in 'Made You Look', it expresses his faith in 'The Cross', and it expresses the struggle in 'I Can'. Overall nearly perfect work of art (apart from a few lesser songs) that anybody can relate to at one part or another.

OutKast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below

Absolute epitome of a fusion album. You got Big Boi doing the hard ass southern rap AND you got Andre doing the touchy feely mind boggling Jazz and Funk, great to listen to, love it.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

As a STRONG BLACK MAN, I loved this expression of the struggle and the beauty all in one. Absolute masterpiece, arguably one of the greatest albums of all time and IN MY OPINION, the best hip-hop album of all time.
