throughout my many years venturing through countless albums this one has stuck out like a sore thumb to me as one of the most lifeless, painful albums to listen to yet i revisit it so often. in my mind, this is one of the most perfect albums i’ve heard throughout my lifetime.
another incredible album by bcnr, i love how the dynamic and cast has changed. the songs feel much more upbeat and comfortable in a place that they are. every song is complex in it’s own way and presents a new era of bcnr that im excited to see more of
as fantano stated, this album would be much better if the sonic/compositional concept fit the writing concept, but it remains as a great album. the dark turn on ptolemaea was so great, everything beyond that point were my favorites on the album. one of the best singer/songwriter albums ive heard from the 2020s
got into jane via revenge seekerz, which is my aoty as of yet btw. this perspective of her sound is very fitting for some of her future creations. tracks like can you tell and how to lie really painted the atmosphere that i am now familiar with in her music. insane production quality for a debut.
came into this album looking forward to the quadeca production, which did not disappoint. other than that, i didn’t find this album too exciting compared to how it was talked about. i didn’t really enjoy the rap verses with the exception of danny and peggy. i was a big fan of love spells’ vocals throughout the entirety of the project, i felt they worked well but didn’t have much compatability with what kevin was going for in terms of hip-hop houston influence. overall, ... read more
