Honestly, I still haven’t fully caught the vibe of this album yet. Some songs sound really monotonous and kinda plain to me. But I can’t deny that his vocals are great, and I really like the storytelling throughout the album.
Without interludes: 74/100
As someone who isn't a fan of the genre, I can say this is a pretty decent album.
I really love the production on Short n' Sweet. It feels polished, catchy, and full of personality without sounding too generic. Every song has that replay value that makes the album really fun to come back to.
I also feel like this album was a huge turning point in Sabrina's career. This was the era where she truly found her sound and identity as a pop artist. Before this, she already had good songs, but Short n’ Sweet made her feel like a real mainstream pop star instead of ... read more
Production wise and I love her songwriting. Even though she's not a great vocalist but she managed to convey the message of her song quite well.
I know they are old, but their passion to continue releasing music is something that needs to be appreciated. And this is a great song and I loved it.
Bunch of people want to reheat Kendrick's nachos so bad. If it's good, that's fine. But this is trash
I think Abbey Road truly deserved Album of the Year. The production was way ahead of its time, the songwriting was strong, and even today it’s still considered one of the greatest albums of all time by many people.
I also love how Side B feels seamless and cinematic because all the songs flow into each other so well. But honestly, it’s a bit unfortunate that some of the tracks near the end are so short. A lot of them have such amazing melodies and ideas that they make you wish they ... read more
I think this album truly shows how talented RAYE is as both a songwriter and a vocalist. The lyrics feel incredibly complex, detailed, and emotional, yet they still remain easy to connect with while listening. One of my favorite things about the album is how there’s barely any unnecessary repetition just for the sake of being catchy. Every song keeps moving and evolving, which makes the whole album feel alive from beginning to end.
The song structures are also very dynamic. Sometimes a ... read more
This is my journey through listening to all the Grammy winners for Album of the Year. I continued with the 11th Grammy winner album.
Honestly, I still can’t believe this album was made in the late 60s. The production sounds way ahead of its time. Instead of sounding raw or dusty like most records from that era, the album feels incredibly smooth, warm, cinematic, and polished, almost like something that could’ve been released in the 80s or even early 90s.
The orchestration, clean ... read more
Honestly, I don’t like the album. It feels like a downgrade to me. It’s boring and way too static, like every song has the same instrumental vibe. Definitely not their best album.
To be honest, I didn’t know he could sing. But he’s not as strong as other artists who are truly great vocalists. Before this, I only knew him as a rapper because I mostly listened to his popular rap songs.
But in this case, I don’t really like it. It feels boring, and the album sounds very flat. I’m honestly surprised he decided to release something like this.
I feel like HYBE is sometimes too quick to jump on trends, even when it doesn’t fully match the artist’s core identity. Electropop, for example, doesn’t really suit ILLIT’s dreamy and youthful concept. I think it would be better if the label focused more on developing a sound that truly fits their identity, instead of chasing what’s currently popular.
