The middle of this album is really incredible. From The Running Man onwards things all hit hard, in a direct, inescapable way. Blackberry Marmalade is a venomous beginning, and the two tracks which follow swap that bite for something more melodic.
There is a quality to this where it sometimes feels like a child’s lullaby wrapped in punk rock rap. Like the reality of life in the USA is abrasive and overexposing. He positions us as children learning about these atrocities.

Best his vocals have ever sounded. Amazing atmosphere across the track. Great mixing, great panning, great bounce. I want to listen to it again instantaneously, I’m really looking forward to a whole project in this realm. Great use of empty space, and contrast to the textures of the dark opening which returns in the end.
this album’s intention feels quite odd. It focuses on his rapping, while also burying his vocals in the mixes, and hitting every genre possible in the production.
As usual, his production is amazing, and makes up for a lot of moments where his vocal performance becomes repetitive. So much so, that I still think this album’s great.
The misogynist bars really drag the LP down, and make a few moments a really awkward listen.
