The most ambitious project Nicolás Jaar has ever created. A darkwave take on Latin electronic music. Such a unique experience; Just wish I knew Spanish better to fully understand the narrative.
FAV: Read the room; Bending Hectic. Tom leans towards ambient, but there are still melodies to catch
Solid album. The opener and 'I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us All' are two of the best songs of 2024. The rest is good, but not on the same level.
Not the deepest lyrics not most complexed melodies but this album does things to me. I can't explain
So pretty much some great songs from albums in additional to great singles what can I say.
Solid indie rock, with some songs featuring a bit of an Arctic Monkeys 'AM' era vibe. The longevity and consistent high quality of Elbow is fascinating.
The first song is one of Pink Floyd's best and the Last song is one of their worst, and what happens in the middle is solid.
It is very pleasant to listen to as a whole, but it lacks stand-alone tracks. My favorite ones are 'Rhayader Goes to Town,' 'Friendship,' and 'Dunkirk.
This album is definitely overhated. The main problem lies in the odd production issues here and there, such as in the ending phase of 'That’s Me' (which is an amazing song before the ending). Overall, I would say the music here isn’t revolutionary, but it’s still good enough.
Rating on the first listen, cause I don't think anything can change my mind here.
I find this more unique than "Hats", and it's so f**king underrated
It's so hard to find heavy industrial electronic music with such clear sound, sad it's only 3 tracks
