Malcolm Todd - Do That Again
90

Parts reminded me so much of NERD, love it.

Gwen Stefani - This Is What the Truth Feels Like
50

Starts alright, gets good, goes straight to hell. I love Gwen but god this album is so zeitgeisty, the rapping only makes it worse. The run from “Where Would I Be?” to “Send Me A Picture” is the strongest part of this album

Charli xcx - SS26

She’s doing this american life madonna meets the velvet underground thing and i think you guys will look back and really appreciate it.

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA [Reissue]

What a lonely but exciting road

BETWEEN FRIENDS - I Like When You Shine!
65

Loved how zeitgeisty this album was, I think if I had to show anyone what music sounded like during the pandemic i’d show them this. The sound fluctuates between bedroom pop and alternative rnb in a way i think is really dated with some parts reminding me of Doja’s Amala. Judging by the number and length of tracks, it seems like they could’ve joined some songs together to make the sound more enjoyable and easier to follow.

Robyn - Sexistential

Not that moved, wish there was more but I really enjoyed the last two tracks

Cobrah - Torn

You can find 10 other artists doing this same thing but better

Sleater-Kinney - The Woods

Hunger makes me a modern girl

Justine Skye - CANDY

Genuinely good dance music

Dry Cleaning - Secret Love

Not a fan of the spoken word but i enjoyed some lyrics and the instruments

7038634357 - Neo Seven

I don’t have a problem with the music as individual tracks, but im not a big fan of the album as a whole. I thought it was pretty repetitive and it didn’t really take you anywhere aside from tracks Square Heart and Perfect Night. But it has a nice atmosphere to it that i don’t mind in the background

Rina Sawayama - RINA
97

Not one miss, even the interludes are amazing.

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

This is my first Harry project and the reason i decided to check it out was because of how it seemed to shake up his fanbase. I personally thought it was a great album. I’ve seen people draw comparisons to LCD Soundsystem and i can see that however I think it’s much closer to Paradis’s Recto Verso or like Naked All the Time by Sports. I really enjoyed how each song seemed to have its own atmosphere without diverging, I mean the title is pretty accurate. I also thought the ... read more

Miami Sound Machine - Primitive Love

Of its time but has a couple amazing tracks

Bassvictim - ?

Folktronica is so back

Chet Baker - Chet Baker Sings
78

New territory for me and not much to say other than nice vocals and instrumentation. Thought I should give it a listen because of how much i’ve been enjoying Olivia Dean’s Art of Loving and i read somewhere that she cited Chet Baker as being one of her influences, which I can now totally hear in the writing and understated yet compelling tone. The only thing I wish there was more of is the grandiose instruments that pop in here and there

Chaka Khan - I Feel For You
87

Incredible vocals and production but some parts (very little) could be more engaging
