The Mars Volta - Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazon

An acoustic re-recording of their previous self-titled album The Mars Volta. It's pretty much just that.

I liked some songs off of here more than the original recordings (Blacklight Shine, Graveyard Love, Tourmaline) and some I felt were made worse with the acoustic treatment (Palm Full Of Crux, NoCaseGain). I think acoustic and percussion instruments are great and especially work well together in Latin music and other such genres but in the context of The Mars Volta (the album), maybe it just doesn't really click with me too much. Some songs are even a bit boring to hear but I wouldn't really mind this album much. The band did a good job recreating their mid songs into something a bit more interesting.

Favorite Tracks: Blacklight Shine, Graveyard Love, Blank Condolences, Vigil, Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazon, Tourmaline, Equus 3
