I Prevail - TRUE POWER

I feel like if they cut out a few songs from the album, it would've been a more enjoyable experience. It's a bit all over the place, and I know it's the current trend in metalcore but something cohesive is nice aswell.

Favorite songs: Fake, Choke & Doomed

Thanks to Rise for the recommendation!

Nothing But Thieves - Moral Panic

I don't usually do long reviews but I'm in love with this album so I decided to make one. I hope you enjoy it.

Nothing But Thieves released their third studio album Moral Panic on October 23rd 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic. Moral Panic is an exploration of the collective anxiety and societal pressures that define the modern era. This is the band’s boldest statement yet.

"@faeriemode Understandable picks! I was almost sure you'd say There Was Sun since it's not a fan favorite in general. Over time, I got myself to like it though, I'm glad you do aswell. I have a feeling you might enjoy Dead Club City more than the others when you eventually get to it. It's a huge shift in their sound, very synthpop-ish and much less alternative rock. It wasn't received very well at first but I think fans are starting to dig it more as time goes by. ヽ(͡◕ ͜ʖ ͡◕)ノ"

"Thank you for giving it a listen and reviewing it. I appreciate your honest thoughts on the album. They did touch on many different sounds and for some it might be overwhelming, but that's why I enjoy this album personally. There's a bit of everything in it and I think they executed it really well. The songwriting is one of their many redeeming qualities as a band. One could argue that Conor's range shines much more on their 2nd album Broken Machine, or even their latest one Dead Club City. If you ever feel like diving more into the band's discography, I'd like to hear your opinions about it aswell. I'm curious, on this album, what are the songs you disliked the most?"

"@faeriemode I don't have much knowledge in polish language, so I had to use translation for the lyrics. I really enjoyed how the album flows and how upbeat the songs are instrumentally. The guitar is fantastic on this one. It's an easy listen to play as background noise when you're doing chores or work. It reminds me of music you'd hear in a 90s indie film. My personal favorites are Boskie Buenos, Żądza pieniądza and Szał niebieskich ciał."
