Tyler, The Creator - Goblin

‘Goblin’ is a conflicting record. It’s an edgy hardcore hip-hop album that has awful lyrics and goes on for way too long. Tyler is very unlikable on this album, and the parts with him screaming and yelling were aggravating. But, it also has some really nice cuts, such as “She”, featuring the incredibly talented Frank Ocean, and the famous single “Yonkers”. Also, I somehow loved the “bad” songs of this album, such as “Fish” and “Bitch Suck Dick”. Overall, I’ve taken a liking to the blatantly flawed ‘Goblin’. Thankfully, Tyler changes his musical direction and moves away from ‘Bastard’ and ‘Goblin’ with his most mature project yet, ‘Wolf’.
