Based on pure ability JID is in my opinion the best rapper alive. The mix of coherent storytelling, clever wordplay and mesmerizing flows has always been a staple of his but nowhere does it shine brighter than on this album. Add on a feature list with zero misses and incredible production and you get a strong contender for best rap album of the year.
Was really worried about the length of this one coming in but they found a way to keep me locked in for all 25 songs. Outrageous production and really strong flows across most of the album, especially from Meechie. Only a few songs that didn’t grab me off first listen but this is another heater in what has been an incredible year for Opium.
