The Making Of A Paracosm is as musically as the title suggests. It's the journey of one creating their own imaginary world. What Kasbo manages to do through sheer sound design alone is what many artists wish to produce in a lifetime. It's an exploration through a world you create as you listen. What an absolutely beautiful LP.

Grey has produced a project that will make very little headway in the grand scheme of electronic music. There is nothing to write home about here. Each track isn't bad, they just aren't great. It feels like a project with little direction and inspiration that disguises as a coherent project. All 7 tracks are aimed for commercial appeal and nothing else.

Major Lazer's musical direction with this project is covered in mud and frequently lost. Meaning that there are some solid tracks in here, but only when you trudge through the mud of the awful ones. I praise Major Lazer for taking a more direct swing at cultural diversity in their tracklist whereas the last four non-English tracks are probably the best cuts. This is far from Major Lazer's best and I'm assuming we'll never get that again as commercial success has been too kind to them.

Rome in Silver's Like Lightning EP perfectly landed itself on bitbird. The sound design and production style is right at home within the realm of bitbird's more niche artists. The project feels a lot more experimental than it should actually get credit for.
