Lingua Ignota - Sinner Get Ready

This album helped remind me of what made music click for me in the first place. Mysterious atmospheres that make some sense when put together in a bigger picture. I couldn't tell you the meaning of most of these songs without doing a ton of research, but the sum of the pieces feels like something complete and grand in its own way. I loved how different this was from her last project. This album is a lot more focused on calming dark atmospheres as opposed to the loud hellscape that Caligula was based around. I found myself falling into these dark pianos, feeling like I was seated in this grand Cathedral. This was more accessible to me, but it lacked some more ambitious moments that made Caligula as shocking and as grand as it showed itself to be. The flow of this album feels more complete, and easier to sit through. A really intense experience that I am excited to revisit.
