I was not prepared for this.

I had no idea who this guy was prior to this album dropping. I gave the album a go this morning, most likely so I could say I'd given it a try and it wasn't for me and the hype was unwarranted (a la spiderland), in my humble opinion.

Comfortable

Christian Rock is not for me. Too much unmelodic waffle and essentially just noise. Practically unlistenable in places. The hype is just that. Thumbs down.

Cracking Campesinos continue career competently

Lively and enjoyable genre-hopping album. A bouncer but not quite a banger. Sounds almost like a compilation album - loads if different influences from Hard-fi to Empire of the SUN, via miike snow and MGMT. There's so much going on!

Could be interesting to listen to him mature. I look forward to his next project (we all say project round 'ere don't we)

A good debut from these. Some excellent standalone tracks - emotive and bright.
