Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo

freddie gibbs and the alchemist have been two of the most consistent hip hop artists in recent years, so i got what i expected with this album, and that’s a good thing. a very, very good thing. the beats are great, and i love the use of guitars in the beat on the first two tracks because i feel like guitars are very underused in hip hop. all the guest features do a great job, especially tyler and benny the butcher. freddie himself does a great job. “yeezys on but i ain’t never seen a sunday service” is one of the hardest lines i’ve heard in a while. overall a great project by both alchemist and freddie gibbs as well as the guests.

FAVORITE TRACKS: 1985, god is perfect, scottie beam, frank lucas, something to rap about, babies & fools, all glass
LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: baby $hit
