Quick Comment: A fantastic short Steve Lacy album that is vibe from beginning to end. This album from Lacy was certainly a major improvement from his last project. His prior album wasn't bad or anything but this was something special. It was good to see that he has consistency in his work compared to other projects, he has always had that odd banger but not something as consistent as this. This project I did find it positive of how simple he kept it, he really seemed to nail the basics of what makes a great pop album. Having that unique or catchy chorus with a not heavily layered instrumental, that's something for everyone to listen to easily and enjoy whatever you're doing. I mean you could literally listen to this album at most cases and still result in giving this fantastic vibe.
All though Steve keeps this simplistic mindset across the project he does keep it refreshing. Most tracks had a similar sort of rhythm, but they all have different styles in the instruments used to create that refreshing aspect of the song. At times it's Steve's voice being heavily used into being background vocals, using drums heavily or utilising synths heavily. There is more as well just not going to list everything down. With these instruments and Steve Voice's it create a really nice flow and the song sounded really smooth and fun. In terms of negatives there weren't that many, I mean maybe it could have been a bit quicker at times or just to fix up a few bars but honestly the negatives were limited, this was a great listen.
Overall, if you are looking for a simple and short listen to get into, this is the album for you :)
